An event of it's own, the cleaning of the Strawberries takes place at the pavillion on Thursday evening before the Festival.

Bring a knife (only in the U.P., eh?), a bowl and all your friends because this event can use as many helping hands as possible. 

 

Make sure to use our washing station when you arrive.  Local berries are washed and delivered right to your table where you will cap and slice the berries to prepare them for shortcake.   Lions members will then gather the sliced berries, add a dash of sugar and then stash them away for two full days of shortcakes.

It's a fun evening of capping, slicing and visiting with the community.   There is no fee for this event.  :)
